A Professional Geoscientist licensed in Texas was recently honored by the University of North Dakota School of Engineering and Mines (SEM) Alumni Academy. Mr. Bret J. Fossum, P.G., was one of seven individuals who were inducted recently as distinguished alumni of the UND engineering and geology programs.
Upon accepting the award, Fossum relates:
“I am certainly honored to be recognized by the department, the University, and to be in the presence of such esteemed colleagues.”
Fossum, Team Leader of Russia Exploration for ConocoPhillips Global New Ventures Group in Houston, Texas, has been in the geoscience industry since 1982. He is an AAPG certified petroleum geologist, a current member of the SEG, and he has published articles and delivered technical presentations for the AAPG and SPE. Fossum obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Geological Engineering in 1982 from the University of North Dakota School of Engineering and Mines.
Fossum has been licensed by the Texas Board of Professional Geoscientists since August of 2003.
