Recent Rule-making Activity

At the Board meeting on August 18, 2017, TBPG’s Appointed Board adopted amendments and new rules, which become effective September 25, 2017.  These Adoptions appeared in the September 22, 2017 issue of the Texas Register.

At the Board meeting on August 18, 2017, the Board proposed an amendment to 22 TAC 851.21, regarding the requirements to sit for a licensing examination.  The Proposed amendment will appear in the October 6, 2017 issue of the Texas Register.  To submit comments on the proposed amendment, please send your written comments to chorton@tbpg.texas.gov by November 6, 2017.  All submitted comments will be reviewed by the Appointed Board at its next Board meeting to be held on November 17, 2017.

At its Emergency Board meeting on September 28, 2017, the Board adopted three new rules to assist licensees in Governor-designated disaster counties.  These Emergency Rules were adopted and filed with the Texas Register on 9/28/2017 to be effective for 120 days.

At its Emergency Board meeting on September 28, 2017, the Board proposed new 22 TAC 851.83 (identical to the emergency rule 851.83) to allow this emergency provision to extend as long as deemed necessary by the Executive Director.  This proposed amendment will appear in the October 13, 2017 issue of the Texas Register.  To submit comments on the proposed amendment, please send your written comments to chorton@tbpg.texas.gov by November 13, 2017.  All submitted comments will be reviewed by the Appointed Board at its next Board meeting to be held on November 17, 2017.
