ASBOG Examination Information

The deadline for exam requests for the March 19, 2021, ASBOG examination has passed.
TBPG staff is processing exam requests and applicants will be notified by email
when the request has been processed.

The next ASBOG examination administration is October 1, 2021.
Online exam requests for that date will be open soon.

COVID-19 Exam Protocols

To ensure compliance with COVID-19 health guidelines recommended by
local health authorities the following protocols will be in place:

*Masks are required at all times in the testing facility.
*Exam takers will be required to maintain 6 feet social distancing at all times.
*To protect the health and safety of everyone, applicants that have a fever
or symptoms of COVID-19, or have been in contact with someone who has
COVID-19 will not be allowed to enter the facility.

Please note that anyone who has been sick prior to the test date,
or who cannot take the exam due to health-related reasons, should contact
TBPG at 512-936-4408 as soon as possible prior to the exam day to discuss
their options.

TBPG Continues Actions in Response to COVID-19

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, TBPG has instituted some changes to its
operations, and has extended its temporary CE Policy through February 28, 2021.
For more information regarding this policy, please see TBPG Response to COVID-19.

TBPG will continue to monitor and make any necessary business adjustments
as needed.  The Department of State Health Services (DSHS) has detailed and
up-to-date information about the impact of COVID-19 in Texas and
the State’s response and efforts.

HB 1311 Passed

HB 1311, the bill to continue the regulation and functions
of the Texas Board of Professional Geoscientists, has passed.
The state’s regulation of the geoscience profession will continue
until September 1, 2025, unless extended.

New Reciprocity Agreement
