March 19, 2021: The next exam date currently accepting applications
(Application deadline – 5pm, January 6, 2021)

**TBPG will continue to monitor the ongoing COVID-19 situation, including state and local
restrictions, to identify any possible impact(s) that may prohibit or alter the exam administration.
We will keep you informed of important information via email
and we will post updates on our website as we get closer to the scheduled examination date.

TBPG Continues Actions in Response to COVID-19

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, TBPG has instituted some changes to its
operations, and has extended its temporary CE Policy through January 1, 2021.
For more information, please see TBPG Response to COVID-19.

TBPG will continue to monitor and make any necessary business adjustments
as needed.  The Department of State Health Services (DSHS) has detailed and
up-to-date information about the impact of COVID-19 in Texas and
the State’s response and efforts.

TBPG Online Services

TBPG’s online license services has a new look!
New computer system upgrades have been implemented.
Our goal is to offer a more user-friendly and reliable online experience
when applying for and renewing licenses, tracking continuing education credits,
and submitting any required licensing documentation.

HB 1311 Passed

HB 1311, the bill to continue the regulation and functions
of the Texas Board of Professional Geoscientists, has passed.
The state’s regulation of the geoscience profession will continue
until September 1, 2025, unless extended.
