AUSTIN – The National Ground Water Association recently awarded Robert E. Mace, Ph.D., the 2006 Technology Award for his efforts in educating Texans about current and future groundwater issues, according to a recent article in the Austin American Statesman. Dr. Mace, a licensed Professional Geoscientist in Texas, is one of 6500 geoscientists that are licensed by the Texas Board of Professional Geoscientists (TBPG).
Mace, Groundwater Resources Director for the Texas Water Development Board’s planning office, is a current member of the Geological Society of America, the Austin Geological Society, and a two-time recipient of the Barton Springs/Edwards Aquifer Conservation District’s Research Conservation Award. He has undergraduate and graduate degrees from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, and he received his Ph.D. from the University of Texas.
Dr. Mace has been licensed with the Texas Board of Professional Geoscientists since 2003.
