The following Agreements and Understandings have been developed between TBPG and other state agencies to facilitate inter-agency cooperation and to protect the public.
Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ)
- Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) has been revised between the Texas Board of Professional Geoscientists and the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) to facilitate the implementation of Senate Bill 138 and to protect the public from unqualified or substandard geoscience services.
- Letter of Agreement (LOA) has been issued to protect the public from unqualified or substandard geoscience services.
Texas Board of Architectural Examiners (TBAE)
- The Texas Board of Professional Geoscientists and the Texas Board of Architectural Examiners have entered into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to protect the public from unqualified or substandard geoscience services.
Railroad Commission of Texas (RRC)
- The Texas Board of Professional Geoscientists and the Railroad Commission of Texas (RRC) have entered into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to protect the public from adverse environmental impacts that could result from the improper public practice of geoscience associated with activities regulated by the Railroad Commission.
Texas Board of Professional Engineers (TBPE)
- Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) has been adopted to facilitate the implementation of Senate Bill 138 and to protect the public from unqualified or substandard geoscience services.
- Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) has been adopted between the Texas Board of Professional Geoscientists and the Texas Board of Professional Engineers to address overlapping jurisdictions.
Texas Board of Professional Land Surveying (TBPLS)
- The Texas Board of Professional Geoscientists and the Texas Board of Professional Land Surveying (TBPLS) have adopted a revised Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to protect the public from unqualified or substandard geoscience services.
Texas Water Development Board (TWDB)
- The Texas Board of Professional Geoscientists and the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) have adopted a revised Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to protect the public from unqualified or substandard geoscience services.
